I’ve had a curiosity for learning and documenting the truth from a young age– devouring books through childhood and joining a newspaper staff at just 14 years old.

My sense of pride in my democracy– as both a young American and a history nerd– shifted into enthusiasm for journalism, the fourth pillar of democracy, and over the next 8 years I developed a strong passion for my work.
