Community members marched in opposition to the neo-Confederate protest planned for the next day.
It rained heavily for the duration of the protests this weekend.

Some demonstrators in the march came from states such as Arkansas and Georgia for the event.
Demonstrators gathered around the Confederate statue on the square in Downtown Oxford.
Citizens watched the confederates begin their march from windows around the square.
Law enforcement officials could be seen watching the march from the edge of campus as the protestors moved towards the Lyceum.
